Trash Removal Services, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, Shasta County, California.The National Park Service, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, intends to award a firm fixed-price noncompetitive Purchase Order (PO) to USA WASTE OF CALIFORNIA, INC., 8592 Commercial Way, Redding, CA 96002, to fulfill its requirement for trash removal services in Whiskeytown, Shasta County, California. The anticipated period of performance is June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026. This Notice of Intent to Award is not a solicitation document. This procurement is being issued in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures; Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR Parts 13 and 6.302-1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this purchase order is 562111, Solid Waste Collection. USA WASTE OF CALIFORNIA, INC. is the sole facility approved for solid waste disposal in Shasta County, California. This service requires removal and transportation of solid waste and rubbish to be removed to an approved landfill following all state and federal regulations. National Park Service requires the use of approved landfills meeting EPA requirements.THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
