Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, intends to negotiate with Aerotech, Inc., located in Pittsburg, PA, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source to purchase Position Stages.
NIST requires these stages to move an optical fiber relative to the focus of a CO2 laser for optical machining of optical fiber facets. Position reproducibility of 0.5 micrometer or better along two axes is required with the lowest possible drift per the attached Requirements/Specifications.
