Notice of Intent to Sole Source the Removal/Installation of Bridge Stringers:
This is a notice of intent to execute an out-of-scope modification to Contract W912P522C0009 to American Bridge Company for the design, fabrication, and removal/install of two horizontal stringers over each pier section (11 piers therefore 22 stringers) for the Wolf Creek Dam Bridge.
The Federal Acquisition Regulations allow for the submissions of capability statements from prospective offerors to show interest which shall be considered by the Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is not a request for capability statements. However, the Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will consider any capability statements submitted by all responsible sources. Depending on the evaluation result of the capability statement, the Contracting Officer will determine if this sole source action is justified or if a solicitation must be issues to interested firms.
Due to the procurement background and justification of the requirement, a determination by the Government has been made not to compete this requirement; responses to this notice is solely with discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Interest sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. If potential offerors choose to submit information, past performance, and references regarding capability to perform these services must be provided along with the statement of capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide.
