Description
Intent to Single Source a Requirement
The Indian Health Service (IHS), Shiprock Service Unit, intends to negotiate a single-sourced, firm-fixed-price contract with San Juan Regional Medical Center, Inc. (UEI: E7ZMUEXQH457) for the procurement of laboratory testing services. The vendor is the only one capable of providing these essential testing services that are not available at the Northern Navajo Medical Center. This vendor will also serve as a backup testing facility in the rare case that the laboratory dept. is non-operational. The NAICS code is 622110, with an associated small business size standard of $47.0M.

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchase not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

This notice of intent to award a single source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response(s) is received by 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Thursday, March 13, 2025, the contract will be issued without further notice.

Responses should be received by the deadline stated above. All vendors are hereby notified that if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
