Notice of Intent - 341 SFG Repair of Spacesaver Armory Racking System
Notice of Intent to Sole-Source: The 341st Contracting Squadron intends to award on a sole-source basis a contract to Spacesaver Corporation for the replacement and repair of weapons racks at the Security Forces Armory, Building 500, Room 41B, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Spacesaver Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the existing Spacesaver racking system and possesses the specialized knowledge and expertise required to ensure proper installation, integration, and long-term system integrity. The existing system utilizes specific components which require specialized knowledge for proper removal, replacement, and integration with new components. Utilizing a non-OEM vendor introduces significant risks, including potential damage to the existing system, improper installation, security vulnerabilities, and voiding of existing warranties. This upgrade is essential to ensure the 341st Security Forces Group can rapidly deploy personnel and equipment in response to security threats, a critical component of the base's overall strategic mission.
This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received by the date below, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
