Description
This is a notice of intent to not synopsize purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for 10ft composite RR Ties for use at FT Cavazos. Due to urgency (Reason not to synopsize from the 715-25). FAR 5.202(a)(2) which provides that a procurement need not be synopsized if the requirement is urgent, and the Government would be seriously injured if the agency complies with the time periods specified at FAR 5.203.
This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government is necessary to make award without delay based upon the adequate justification as urgent (see attached MCAAP Form 715-25) with an urgent delivery requirement. Oral quotes will be solicited from 5 vendors with whom have previously been successful with competitive pricing, we have bought from in the past, and who has the requisitioned material readily available for delivery. Based upon the above, it is determined that synopsis would result in no further competition.
