NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Interior US Fish and Wildlife Service, JAO IT contracting, on behalf of the Unites States Fish and Wildlife Service in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with: InnovaSea Acoustic Telemetry System To provide the following equipment:Acoustic transmitters are needed to track adult Chinook Salmon within the Battle Creek todetermine habitat usage. migration timing, and spawn location. The new transmitters need to becompatible with existing InnovaSea/Vemco receiver equipment in order to expand the studyarea, keep the data comparable between prior year studies, and minimize cost associated withreplacing the entire existing 69 kHz receiver array.-Minimum Specifications:1. Transmitting Frequency: 69 kHz.2. Dimension: Less than or equal to 9.0 mm diameter x 27.5 mm length.3. Weight: 4. Power output: 146 dB re 1uPa at 1 m.5. Battery life: = 202 days.6. Code: individual and unique with a ping rate of 13 ¿ 27 seconds, 20 seconds nominal.7. Smooth rounded case for purpose of gastric insertion into Chinook Salmon.This procurement is a sole source requirement and is not a solicitation or a request for competitive proposal. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
