Description
NASA/Information Technology Procurement Office (ITPO) has a requirement for a modification for the Atlas Devices Counterweight-Offload Astronaut Sensor, Telemetry & Electronics Rig (COASTER), which is required to fulfill the need of telemetry-based suited and unsuited gravity offload testing at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC).

NASA/ITPO intends to issue a sole source modification to acquire the modified items from Atlas Devices, as Atlas Devices is the sole source from whom can modify their existing COASTER device acquired under NASA purchase order 80TECH25PA008. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for acquisitions using the procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Nicolas Zogaib at nicolas.a.zogaib@nasa.gov not later than 5:00PM EDT on July 3rd, 2025. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
