THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE SERVICE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division - West (HCD-W), San Diego, intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract for Beryllium Lymphocyte Proliferation Test (BeLPT) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) Sole Source acquisitions and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government-s needs, to:

The objective of this sole source award is to procure Beryllium Lymphocyte Proliferation Test (BeLPT) services. Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH) Occupational Health Department requires annual BeLPT services for an estimated 250 samples submitted by the Makalapa Laboratory. BeLPT is the testing of blood samples to determine beryllium sensitivity by measuring lymphocyte proliferation. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandates the medical surveillance of workers exposed to Beryllium. As part of medical surveillance, NHCH is requesting the testing of BeLPT for at-risk employees. All costs related to shipping, testing and interpreting the results will be included.
Period of Performance will start 01 February 2026 to 31 January 2027 for base year and will include four (4) option years.
