This notice is in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 09, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for the product/service listed below to a self-certified small, disadvantaged business, Contemporary Product Solutions Inc. The contract is awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source and FAR 13.501(a) sole source acquisitions. A Sole Source Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The contractor will provide the product/service listed below to the place of performance listed on the cover page of this notice.
This solution is the brand name Progamill PM7 System by Ivoclar due to many specific qualities which best meet the service-s needs. Currently, the dental clinic has three 3Shape Intraoral scanners that is used to scan intraorally, with two more requested in this package, titled DS Complete Rest. Bundle with Scanner as listed above. The additional scanners are for lab use. The clinic/facility would have to purchase costly, additional scanners to work with the Coritec mill as the 3Shape scanners work with the PM7 system. The Coritec system is currently not approved for use on the VA-s Enterprise network. The PM7 system has been approved by the IT team via TRM and gold imaging standard to securely and effectively work on existing the VA network. The requested design software (approved for use on the VA network and needed to fabricate the final product/denture) is the Ivotion Denture Library. This works with the 3Shape scanners we currently have. The Ivotion Denture Library has not been tested on the Coritec mill, and there is no indication it or any other system would work with the 3Shape scanners.
