The 502d Contracting Squadron (CONS) - Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph, TX intends to award a sole-source firm fixed-price purchase order to PEARSON EDUCATION INC. (CAGE Code 3A8R6; Unique Entity ID MXY4T98LNFC5) 221 River St, Hoboken, NJ 07030-5989 a large business for the purchase of the following (1,500) textbooks:

1.(1,500 EACH) - ISBN 9780136994015 - 14TH Edition of the Emergency Care Textbook2.(1,500 EACH) - ISBN 9780136994015 - 14th Edition Emergency Care Workbook3.(1,500 EACH) - ISBN 9780136994015 - 14th Edition Emergency Care Review Plus App

This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this commercially available requirement is 513130 - Book Publishers having a Small Business Administration-s (SBA) size standard of 1,000 employees.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote or proposal. The Government does not anticipate receiving additional responses to this notice. Market research identified four (4) small businesses that were interested and capable of providing a quote for this requirement. However, according to the publisher, an incremental price increase is anticipated on 3 February 2025 and the other contractors are unable to deliver before this potential price increase and in addition are unable to meet the Government-s required delivery date.
