Purpose:
The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to award a sole source contract extension to Network Management Resources, Inc. (NMR) for cyber secure classified and unclassified Video Teleconferencing services, Audiovisual services, Portal services, data management services, business automation services and end-user training. This notice is for informational purposes only. MDA requires these multiple support services in order to support the global Ballistic Missile Defense System mission.
Based on currently available information and ongoing market research, MDA anticipates that NMR is the only source capable of providing these services without unacceptable delays and substantial duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract extension to NMR under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The anticipated period of performance for this effort is 9-months, with five 3-month option periods.
This notice is intended to meet the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Such information must be received within 15 days from date of posting. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government.
