Description
The Defense Information Systems Agency/Defense Information Technology ContractingOrganization intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Kratos Defense & Rocket SupportServices Inc. A sole source Justification & Approval document is being coordinated and, uponapproval, a copy of it will be posted here on SAM.gov to comply with the public displayrequirements of FAR 6.305.
The proposed contract action is for MissionWave SCISR Tri-Band Radio. Supports L, S, C bandfrequencies, BE-CDL, and TBS waveforms. No on-board KIV encryptor. Max Data Rate 45Mbps and MissionWave SCISR Tri-Band or Flexi-Band Radio Interfacing KitModule withconventional data and power ports. For Tri-band or Flexi-band SCISR Radios.
At this time, Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services Inc is the only source capable ofproviding all necessary items.
The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), asimplemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other supplies orservices will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who believe they can provide this servicemust indicate their interest in writing within 5 days of this notification and include a detailedcapability statement. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capabilityinformation will be provided. All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating thedetermination to issue a sole-source contract. Quotations or proposals received in response tothis notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote or arequest for proposal. A solicitation will NOT be posted to SAM.gov due to the sole sourcenature of the requirement.
The North American Classification System (NAICS) code 541519 will be used for determiningcompany size status.
