U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations. USFWS intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source to:TRUSTEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY107 S Indiana AVEBloomington, Indiana 47405-7000The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541380, Testing Laboratories and Services. The object of this sole source award to TRUSTEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY is that this project aims to provide a PCB chemical assessment of Bald Eagle plasma in the River Raisin AOC. During the Summer of 2023, IU will analyze approximately 30 samples of Raisin Eagle plasma for PCBs. Several components make up this activity, including but not limited to the extraction of samples, cleaning the samples, analyzing sample extracts on instrumentation, quantitating, and analyzing the obtained data, and validating, formatting, and organizing the measurements. These activities will be expedited to ensure the data can be reported by the Fall of 2023. Deliverables. All data, including QA/QC, obtained within the project will be reported within 3 months of sample receipt. Data packages will be prepared and transmitted electronically for all plasma or egg extracts. Data packages will include tabulated results, receipt and analysis dates, method numbers, sample descriptions, lab ID, field ID, detection limits, and qualifiers (if needed). For each sample batch, reporting will include a short narrative describing anything interesting or unusual encountered during the extraction and analysis process, results of surrogate recoveries, matrix spike, method blanks, and laboratory control samples.
