The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite Data Information Service (NESDIS), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Satellite Information Acquisition Division (SIAD) intends to award on a single source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) (41 USC 1901), based on only one source, where no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed source is Peer Software Inc, Westlake Village, CA, and the items being sought, as shown in the table below, are for use in the NOAA/National Jason Ground Systems (NJGS) system, Office of Satellite and Product Operations (OSPO), Mission Operations Division (MOD) in Suitland, MD:

This software will be used to perform a variety of file replication tasks such as: file replication (one way); file synchronization (bi-directional); file distribution (one to many); and file backup.
This will be a single source acquisition solicited to a small business. The intended source is Peer Software Inc. PeerSync software is a proprietary software solution manufactured and distributed exclusively by Peer Software Inc. Peer Software Inc is the only entity capable of providing PeerSync software with the required specifications, support, and integration features needed. PeerSync software was originally delivered with the NJGS system to provide highly granular and specific configurations (unavailable with other products) and is considered a critical component of the NJGS ground system.
