Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Perkin Elmer U.S. LLCIn accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to PerkinElmer U.S. LLC to renew the service maintenance agreement for the following pieces of PerkinElmer laboratory equipment, as identified below, for one year: 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2026.1. MAS SoftwarePerkinElmer U.S. LLC is the only authorized service provider due to this service being proprietary for the above instruments identified. These are instruments are brand name specific and contain unique specifications in which only the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can maintain, service, and repair. These instruments must be properly maintained to ensure high quality research results. To assure continued safe, reliable, and satisfactory operation of the manufacturer-s instruments; maintenance, service, repair, replacement parts, software, etc. must be obtained from the OEM. Perkin Elmer is the sole source provider of factory authorized training for their service representatives. Service performed by parties other than Perkin Elmer could invalidate warranties and service agreement obligations. Failure to continue the maintenance agreement will put NETL at risk of failure or loss of service that could severely impact the organizations- ability to operate in an efficient and effective manner and it has been confirmed that no other authorized company can provide this type of service maintenance agreement.Th...
