THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Notice # 12310826, Contract Operations Division - National Capital region (DNA/COD-NCR) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government-s needs, to:

The objective of this sole source award is to provide support to the existing level of effort for the Sterile Processing Department, Bldg. 9, Rm 0207, 8901 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, Maryland. 20889:
Quarterly professional chamber cleaning of 6 (SIX)) full size Steam Sterilizers (3Medium Size and 3 Large Walk- In; Quarterly professional cleaning of 15 (Fifteen) Sterilizer Loading Carts; Quarterly professional cleaning of 2 (Two) Cart Washers. This is to assure that sterilized loads are not contaminated or will come into contact with dirt/soil during the sterilization process. Cleaning the sterilizer and carts will allow for an improved drying and heat transfer. Eliminates build up from poor water quality and other forms of contaminants. Specially trained technicians will provide all necessary equipment and materials (Non-Abrasive with Passivation) in order to properly clean the sterilizers.
Sterilizer chamber cleaning will be performed quarterly (every 3 months).
PKT utilizes a passivation process, which is a proprietary non-abrasive chemical cleaning process to safely remove deposits and scale buildup on the sterilizer chambers and accessories.
