Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Installation and Technology Division, 6472 Integrity Court, Building 4401, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 has a requirement to procure and install upgrade equipment for a Government owned ScanBox 5120 Scanning System.
The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole source contract to Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC, 6250 Sycamore Lane N., Maple Grove, MN 55369. In accordance with FAR 13.501, this award will be under North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code 334519 - Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. This notification is being issued under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing no later than 27 June 2025 at 1:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. This is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required equipment upgrade and installation.
