Notice of Intent to Sole SourceThis Notice of Intent to Sole Source is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1). This notice is to advise public that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Priced, Purchase Order, with only one (1) source, EIO Inc. dba Medical Resources. The procurement is for all of the VA Medical Centers in the VISN 23 VA Midwest Healthcare Network (VISN 23) use the Mesalab ViewPoint Continuous Environmental Monitoring software for temperature and humidity monitoring of storage rooms, sterile supply rooms, refrigerators and freezers for medication, implantable devices, supplies for operating room and procedure rooms, food storage for both canteen and nutrition and food. See line-items below for specific supplies requested. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one (1) will meet the Government s needs. Only one (1) source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the supplies and/or services. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
