The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Simplified Acquisition Procedures under 41 USC 1901(e)(2) IAW the requirements of 10 USC §3204(e) to ABB Inc., a large business. This anticipated contract action will be a firm-fixed price, requirements-type, Indefinite-Delivery Contract (IDC) for Variable Frequency Starting Systems (VFSS) control upgrades with a five-year ordering period. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, and the Product Service Code (PSC) code is 6110, Electrical Control Equipment. The requirement is to be delivered Free on Board (FOB) Destination to Arnold AFB, TN.Detailed specifications for this requirement contain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Interested vendors who wish to receive the detailed specifications must request them from the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist listed below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
