This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for quotation. No solicitation will be issued, and no quotations will be requested.The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, on behalf of the Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD), intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Philips Healthcare located at 4430 Rosewood Drive, Suite 200, Pleasanton, California 94588 for a period of 12 months for licensing and support services required to maintain the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences- Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).This request is for the purchase of the licensing and support services required to maintain the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences- PACS and RIS. Both the PACS and the RIS are proprietary systems developed and maintained by Philips Healthcare (formerly Carestream Health-s healthcare information systems). Both systems are in daily use by RAD&IS and the Clinical Center for critical patient care.
Operational Context
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences provides imaging services to the NIH Clinical Center-s patients who participate in research protocols conducted by various NIH institutes. Imaging services include X-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and interventional radiology. Diagnostic services in ultrasound, digital mammography, positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), and nuclear medicine are also provided.
