NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD UNITED STATES COAST GUARD SFLC NORFOLK intends to award a sole source non-competitive contract to:

The US Coast Guard, SFLC Norfolk, VA intends to establish a single award contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation will be issued. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000. The purpose of the Notice of Intent is to inform sources of the Government intent to award to a company claiming sole source, this does not constitute an RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses to this Notice of Intent. All information received in response to this Notice of Intent marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to ask follow-up clarifying questions to individual companies based on proprietary information submitted without posting those questions. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Notice of Intent.
The government requirement is for high-speed business internet/WI-FI services for a Base Year plus Option Year One and Option Year Two, from the attached (SOW) Statement of Work. Cox Communications Hampton Roads LLC is the only provider in the area that can provide services required to reach the intended Norfolk areas within lines of demarcation.
