The United States Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Services (WHS/AD), on behalf of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) intends to issue a sole source award to PitchBook Data, Inc., 901 5th Ave. STE 1200 Seattle Washington 98164-2017 to procure PitchBook Platform Subscription which is software that delivers data, research and technology covering the private capital markets, including venture capital, private equity and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base period with four option periods in accordance with FAR 52.217-9 "Option to Extend the Terms of the Contract".
The anticipated award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 under the procedures FAR 13.5 “Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.” The Defense Innovation DIU requires information platform for increased visibility into innovative technology companies and relevant market trends that seamlessly integrates into the DIU existing customer relationship management tools. PitchBook Data, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the required services through its proprietary PitchBook Platform Subscription, which is the only platform subscription that can meet the requirements of DIU.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
