Tender are invited for The Department of Health (Department) has received an application for a Certificate of Need for the healthcare facility project described below. Project/Activity: Inpatient Behavioral Health Expansion - Adult and Adolescent Acute Care Services Project Applicant: Mat-Su Regional Medical Center Project/Activity Service Area: Matanuska-Susitna Borough Project Description: Mat-Su Regional Medical Center plans to expand its Inpatient Behavioral Health services by constructing a new single-floor, 53,900 square foot freestanding building adjacent to its main campus located in Wasilla, Alaska. The facility will have a total of 45 inpatient beds, comprised of 16 existing beds to be relocated from the third floor of the main hospital, and the construction of 29 new beds. Of the new 45 beds, 18 beds will be dedicated to an adolescent acute behavioral health care unit, and 27 beds to an adult acute behavioral health care unit.
