This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 36C10G24Q0020 is issued for this combined synopsis/solicitation; this solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-02, dated 16 March 2023.Requirement Description:VA has a requirement to purchase Patient Scales to deliver patient care at its VA Medical Centers around the country. Patient Scales are designed to measures a person's weight. Some modern models also can indicate body mass index (BMI). These devices are found in nearly every doctor's office and medical facility. There are models designed for use in bariatric, pediatric, veterinary, and other medical disciplines. For example, in bariatrics they enable the practitioner to follow weight changes in obese patients on a diet. The two broad categories of scale are mechanical and electronic. Those linked to a network are used in telemedicine to monitor alterations in the condition of patients suffering from diabetes, heart failure and other chronic diseases. Most are floor models for weighing a person standing still.
