Cape Hatteras National Seashore replace siding and windows at the Ocracoke Housing.This project is focused on replacing siding and windows at the Ocracoke Housing Units 137,138,139,140 located on 137-140 NPS Road in Ocracoke NC.Period of Performance: 9/1/2025 to 12/31/2025This acquisition is a 100% set aside for Small Business.The NAICS Code for this requirement is 239170 Siding Contractors $19MFAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of construction is estimated: (e) Between $500,000 and $1,000,000.Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price Construction.Request for Proposal (RFP) Closes: 5/23/2025 at 5pm ESTsend all proposals via email to Ashley_Warcewicz@nps.gov Question cut-off: 5/12/2025 at 5pm EST Send all questions to Ashley_Warcewicz@nps.gov An amendment to the solicitation will be performed with the responses. Site Visit: Site visit has been scheduled for 5/7/2025 at time 10:30am-11:30am EST, at Ocracoke Housing Units 137,138,139,140 located on 137-140 NPS Road in Ocracoke NC 27960. POC David Tongue.Ocracoke is only accessible via a NCDOT ferry and the schedule changes often. It will be very important to advise all bidding contractors that they will need to be at the ferry early - it takes about an hour and ½ to ride the ferry to get to Ocracoke, then about another 20 minutes from the ferry to drive to the project work site - housing. The schedule for the ferry is published online but changes. Be sure to take the HATTERAS TO OCRACOKE ferry. recommended-times-ocracoke-hatteras.pdfThe ferry will allow all who want to join us at the site visit to coordinate with them directly - You can have bidders call them if they have more questions at NCDOT: Ferry Contacts and just so we are clear, they will allow contractors to bring all of the maintenance supplies, materials and tools they need.
