- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO. FOR OEM ELECTRIC WATER HEATER UNIT.
THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD SFLC NORFOLK intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole-source basis to THE ELECTRIC HEATER CO dba HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO. (Address: 45 Seymour Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06615-6170; CAGE Code: 19857) for One (1) new Electric Water Heater Model MSH320-0-30SLT4 OEM (Hubbell). All information received in response to this Notice of Intent marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. The OEM Electric Water Heater unit(s) are considered commercial supplies that will be acquired using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures. The requirement is associated with a delivery date of twenty-five (25) weeks after award of contract. The anticipated award will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. Market Research conducted by USCG SFLC concludes that HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO is the original manufacturer of the referenced items and maintains the proprietary rights, which makes them the sole-source to the OEM Electric Water Heater unit.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotes. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Provide any recommendations and/or concerns. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Notice of Intent.
