Description
The U.S Consulate General, Frankfurt provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice regarding the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for:
Bid/Build Off Compound Vehicle Barriers,
U.S. Embassy Cairo, Egypt.
The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price Bid/Build Construction Type Contract in the second quarter of calendar year 2025.
The successful offeror shall provide complete replacement and construction services, contract coordination, and supervision, including but not limited to the design, management and construction necessary to meet the requirements of this contract within the established timeframe.
The United States Department of State (DOS) and Regional Security Office (RSO) requires engineering and construction services for the removal and replacement of the off-compound vehicle barriers at the U.S. Embassy Cairo, Egypt.
Short project scope description:
The purpose of this project is to remove one (1) existing Delta DSC7000, one (1) Delta MP5000 and two (2) DSC1200 vehicle barrier systems at Corniche and Sheikh Youssef checkpoints and one (1) Delta MP5000 standby barrier, a total of five (5) vehicle barrier systems. Install two (2) new surface mount wedge barrier(s) (PAS 68 7500 [N3] 80 / 90: 0.0 / 7. 6 or equivalent) with Emergency Fast Operation (EFO) functionality or similar option at the Corniche checkpoint and one (1) new surface mount wedge barrier (PAS 68 7500 [N3] 80 / 90: 0.0 / 7. 6 or equivalent) with Emergency Fast Operation (EFO) functionality or similar option at the Sheikh Youssef checkpoint.
The General Contractor shall be responsible for the construction, completion and maintenance of the Project Works, in accordance with the tender and contract Drawings, Specifications, Bills of Quantities and Contract Conditions etc.
