Description:
The District is releasing this solicitation with the intent to award a single contract for on-call/as needed Mandatory State of California Fire Marshal Fire Watch Services. The District is seeking a qualified Security Guard Company that shall provide unarmed security personnel to perform Fire Watch duties via foot patrol, when requested by the District. This patrol would encompasses a designated building, or area of building where the Fire Alarm Panel is inoperable and mandatory 24/7 Fire Watch would be needed. The scope of the patrol would be dependent on the specific building or area, and the length of time Fire Watch is needed. Services include, but are not limited to, Fire Watch duties via foot patrol. The use of Subcontractors will not be allowed for this Agreement. Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded to the Bidder who, as determined by the District, best meets the requirements set forth in this IFB.The District may, at its sole and absolute discretion, reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, or reject any item or items herein, and waive any irregularities or technicalities. The District may re-advertise this IFB; postpone or cancel it, at any time, during IFB process. The decision as to who shall receive a contract award, or whether or not an award shall ever be made as a result of this IFB, shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the District. The District reserves the right to award one or more contracts, or a part of a contract, on the bids submitted, either by award of all or some items to one Bidder, or by award of separate items or group of items to various Bidders, or to make an award without the consideration of option or renewal years, as the interests of the District may require.
