Description:
The District of Columbia Department of General Services (“District”, “Department” or “DGS”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit Statements of Qualifications (“SOQs”) from those entities (“Offerors”) interested in performing on-call construction, repair and replacement services for various District of Columbia owned properties within the DGS construction portfolio and maintenance facility locations (“Project Locations”). Such work may include, but is not limited to: electrical, mechanical and plumbing services; fire, life safety, health and food code updates; and other miscellaneous work as may be necessary. The contractor(s) selected under this procurement (collectively, the “Contractor(s)”) should be capable of handling all types of building repairs and upgrades, including, but not limited to, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, carpentry, masonry, fire alarm repairs, etc. The contract work may also include, from time to time, small construction projects that need to be completed quickly; these would primarily be in response to emergency situations such as vandalism, structural failures, or other life safety issues. It is contemplated that the work required for the Project Locations will be further detailed and released through competitive Task Order Agreements (the “Task Order” or “Task Order Agreement”) issued pursuant to indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (“IDIQ”) type contracts or Basic Ordering Agreements (“BOA(s)”), which will be awarded through this procurement.
