Description:
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain information from the vendor community on the availability, capability, and functionality of on-premise, air-gapped, immutable backup solutions currently offered in the market place. At this time, Baltimore County Government (“County”) uses Enterprise backup applications to backup the County-s virtual environment. Snapshots are backed up and saved to local storage at two locations. A third copy of the data is stored in AWS S3 Glacier immutable storage. The total storage requirement for a new on-prem solution is approximately 6PB. The proposed backup solution must be air-gapped, immutable, and on-premise. The solution is required to enable the County to meet RPO/RTO objectives for disaster recovery.The County will consider the information received as a result of this RFI to assist in refinement of functional and technical system requirements. The County is seeking as much information as possible through this RFI process.
