Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO 01) located in Brockton, MA intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Mizuho, for the following requirement:STATEMENT OF WORKOR Bed Repair Service1.0 Scope of WorkThe contractor will provide repairs at the Boston Healthcare System, West Roxbury Division. Contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, tools and special equipment required to perform the work.2.0 Performance RequirementsRepair OR bed, Asset #6800 370Repairs to include all parts to ensure operability of bed back into normal service. All work shall be performed during normal working hours, which exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and the hours prior to 7:00 A.M. and after 6:00 P.M. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310.In accordance with FAR6.302 1, there is only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Manufacturer of bed is Mizuho, in which repairs can only be completed by vendor. Parts are proprietary to manufacturer and these parts cannot be purchased independently. As a result, Mizuho is the only qualified vendor that is able to complete repairs on the bed to return it back into service. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by June 20, 2025 at 12 pm EST time. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
