THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government currently intends to award a contract for a Concert Hall Rental on a SOLE SOURCE basis but is seeking vendors that may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all interested businesses (large and small) to respond to this source sought synopsis. In addition, small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the requirements at a fair market price, i.e., information which may help support a set-aside.
The proposed sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to The John F. Kennedy Center will provide a Concert Hall Rental for The US Army Strings 75th Anniversary for The United States Army Band “Pershing-s Own on 18 September 2025. The U.S. Army Band “Pershing-s Own” will present one concert at The Terrace Theater at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This concert will showcase the most prestigious military orchestra of the U.S. Army while bringing to the Washington D.C. community a special insight to the U.S. Army through musical entertainment. The concert is open to area students, veterans, active-duty personnel, and the general public. Due to the scope of this concert (which targets residents of the D.C. Metropolitan area, to include Fairfax Co., Arlington Co., Anne Arundel Co., Montgomery Co., Prince William Co., Loudoun Co., Prince Georges Co., and Baltimore City), a larger facility is necessary for supporting the concert than can be accommodated at Brucker Hall, Ft. Myer, VA (home of The U.S. Army Band.)
