This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons formally issues solicitation 15B60925Q00000002 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract entitled Replace Perimeter Detection System at Federal Correctional Institution Safford, AZ (FCI Safford).
FCI Safford is a federal correctional facility located at 1529 W HWY 366, Safford, AZ 85546. The project consists of obtaining the services of a licensed contractor to furnish all equipment, materials, components, and labor required to remove the existing perimeter detection system and install a Point Sensor perimeter security system and all related items on a combined total 4400 linear feet of 12-foot-high fence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Safford. The performance period for the project will be 297 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.
Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
