Description
The 147th Attack Wing Contracting office intends to award a sole source contract to ADS, Inc. for the delivery of Fire Emergency Services Personal Protective Equipment. This purchase will include the following PPE: structural coat with accessories, structural pant with sewn-in reinforced knee with bellow search pockets, and suspenders.
ADS, Inc. is the sole source provider of Fire Fighter PPE for active duty, guard, and reserve USAF Firefighters. The PPE sole source is required per HQ SAF/AQC, no other vendor will meet the USAF standard. As such competing this requirement on the open market is not reasonable.
There will be no written solicitation issued. This procurement is being made pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source. All qualified sources must respond not later than the date and time specified under General Information within this special notice.
A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
