Title: Sources Sought Notice for Phased Locked Loop System
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Government-s anticipated needs.
BACKGROUND
The NIST Mass and Force Group, Small Mass and Force Metrology Project requires a multichannel Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) for an inertial balance system to disseminate mass less than 1 milligram.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The item has been identified as being suitable for the intended application. Specifications for the PLL are listed:
System must provide a minimum of 4 phase-locked loop control circuits with a minimum 50 kHz bandwidth.
System must provide frequency accuracy of 2 ppm or better upon receipt.
System must provide for input of external frequency reference.
System must have 4 PID control loop circuits.
System must have 2 voltage inputs ( at least 14 bit resolution) and 2 current inputs with variable gain.
System must have an input bandwidth from DC to at least 50 MHz.
System must include APIs for labview, Python and C.
System must have 2 AC signal outputs with bandwidth of at least 50 MHz.
System must have at least 4 additional voltage inputs capable of measuring -10 to 10 V operating at at least 1 MHz, 2 additional voltage inputs capable of outputting -10 to 10 V at 300 KHz, and 16 channel bidirectional digital IO.
System must have at least 5 demodulators.
System must provide at least 5 independent oscillators to control output voltages.
System must provide lockin amplifier capability to measure in-phase, quadrature, magnitude and phase of input signal.
System must provide for AM and FM modulation and demodulation.
System must provide capability for parameter sweeps, oscilloscope, frequency spectrum analyzer and data acquisition for all signals.
