Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Department, Portsmouth, VA 23709, intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE firm fixed price contract for Calibration of three (3) Phenix Motor Test Sets utilizing the policies and procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The requirement will be solicited as sole source procurement to Doble Engineering Company as they are the only vendor authorized and certified to perform the necessary calibration services to their motor test sets. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard is $34.0 million.

Code 950 requires contractor support to calibrate three (3) Phenix motor test sets located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The contractor shall make all of the necessary arrangements with the Government-s Point of Contact to begin providing the required calibration of the Phenix motor test sets upon contract award.

All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. By submitting a quotation, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quotation. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the vendors at any time prior to award.
