Description:
The City of Arcata is soliciting bids for WORK consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and performing all work required to complete watermain replacement and booster station replacement with generator back up. The project includes, but is not limited to: removal of AC pipe, sawcut and removal of existing AC pavement, AC paving, compacted gravel driveways, earthwork, excavation and trenching, horizontal directional drilling and/or laying of new watermain piping including continuously welded HDPE and ductile iron pipe, replacement of water valve clusters and fire hydrants, construction of a new concrete masonry unit booster station and all appurtenances, pad mounted back up generator and coordination with PGE for new electrical service, traffic control and erosion control. This project is funded in part by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) administered by Cal OES and is therefore subject to Davis Bacon and Related Act requirements. Contractor must follow CFR §200.321 and make a “good faith effort” to assure MBE-s and WBE-s are used when possible. This project has a DBE Goal of 5%
