Description
The Office of Naval Intelligence, Washington, DC, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-3 and FAR 6.302-1(b)(ii). The proposed source is Police Range Maintenance. The procurement is for one year. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract is for the tailored proprietary platform which provides proprietary InVeris Training Support Maintenance for the civilian and military workforce. This firm fixed price contract to Best Technology Systems, Inc., Plainfield, IL (small business), which is the only factory authorized service and parts company for the proprietary InVeris Training Solutions, Inc. in the United States that is authorized to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration, repair and recertification on InVeris bullet traps in lead contaminated work areas. BTS also has all of the specialized equipment to service and work on all of the InVeris Training Solutions, Inc. bullet traps and ranges. It is proprietary to BTS to maintain and repair mobile 6500 vertical bullet trap and shooting range. This notice is being published for information purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government is seeking a discount from the offeror's schedule prices pursuant to FAR 8.404(d).
