Description:
The purpose of this RFP is to seek proposals from interested parties that will have an agreement(s) for space in the Central Park Community Redevelopment Area for daycare operations by the time of selection by the City of Tampa, and desires to enter into a ground lease to provide a playground for said activities (the “Project”).The Property is located within the Central Park Community Redevelopment Area, therefore this proposed lease is subject to published notice and issuance of this RFP pursuant to 163.380(3)(a), Florida Statutes. A copy of the form of the notice of this RFP that will be published is attached as Attachment 1 to this RFP.A lease will be required between the City and the successful proposer. This lease is subject to approval by City Council and will address, among other things: (1) the size and scope of the Project; (2) agreed upon timelines for obtaining any necessary governmental approvals for the Project and for the completion of the Project; (3) rent and/or other forms of consideration and any conditions pertaining to the Property from the City to the successful proposer; and (4) if required or if volunteered by the successful proposer, contractual assurances regarding compliance with the City-s Equal Business Opportunity and Apprenticeship Programs in connection with the design and construction of the Project.
