PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
Description(s):
The DLA Troop Support intends to solicit for a five years Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Long-term Contract (LTC) Fence Post Metal NSN 5660-002701510, NSN 5660-002629914, NSN 5660-002701587, NSN 5660-002701588 and NSN 5660-002701589 for Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) and DLA Direct requirements and make subsequent award using a contract base of 2 years and 3 option periods of one year. The option may be exercised in increments of one year by written notice at least 7 days prior to expiration. A long-term agreement with a base period exceeding one year allows suppliers to benefit from wholesale-volume pricing by encouraging them to lock in pricing by entering into appropriate agreements with their subcontractors. Utilizing such arrangements helps to ensure that our requirements, especially for Fence Post Metal items (traditionally identified as high frequency, high demand consumable items) can be expeditiously met. The Government will make an award, as a result of this solicitation, to the responsible offeror, offering the lowest price, whose offer conforms to all of the terms and conditions set forth in this solicitation. All items must be quoted, no exception. The government intends to make an award based on initial offers; however, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions, if necessary. offerors are encouraged to submit their “best proposal” in response to this solicitation. Each offeror-s price proposal will be evaluated for price reasonableness. The Government anticipates a multiple award. The contract maximum will be approximate $50,000,000.00. Certified cost and pricing data will not be required per far 15.403-1(b)(3); however, the contracting officer may require supporting price data, such as copies of commercial catalogs or substantiation of established market pricing.
