Presolicitation Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to exercise option II of contract 36C25724C0028, period of performance: 1/12/206 through 1/11/2027 with FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation for the following services:
2001: Service Maintenance Agreement, Oval MRI
2002: Service Maintenance Agreement, Oasis MRI
2003: Service Maintenance Agreement, Arietta 70 Ultrasound
2004: Service Maintenance Agreement, Arietta 70 Ultrasound
2005: Service Maintenance Agreement, Arietta 65 Ultrasound
Service Addresses: Amarillo VA Medical Center, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. W., Amarillo, TX 79106 and Lubbock Outpatient Clinic, 3510 4th St., Lubbock, TX 79415.
FUJIFILM provided a sole source letter stating that they (HCUS) are the exclusive sales and service agent in the United States and Canada for all of its manufactured ultrasound and MR products and technology.
This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice. If no affirmative written response is received within 7 days from the publication of this notice, the exercise of the option will be issued to FUJIFILM without any further notice.
The anticipated statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
