Power from the vehicle-s engine is transferred along a path through the transmission, driveshaft, differential, and wheels, which drive the vehicle forward and backwards. The transmission uses its series of gears to multiply the torque output of the engine and provide that energy via the driveshaft to the differential and axles. Without it, the power generated by the engine cannot be transferred to the wheels. This transmission has been specifically designed to mount to the Buffalo engine, which makes it unique among other commercially procurable transmissions.
