Description:
the objective of the assignment is to assess and update the status and progress on private sector participation in the development of small hydropower. The scope of work include: (i) review and assess the legal and regulatory environment for PPP in small hydropower; (ii) review and assess PPP in small hydropower over the last decade; (iii) analyze the pipeline projects under various stages of preparation and identify top priority projects for potential World Bank intervention; and (iv) identify key barriers and make recommendations to increase private sector participation in small hydro.Shortlisting criteria: (i) the core business and years in business, overall technical and managerial capabilities; (ii) at least two specific experiences in assignments similar to the scope of work; (iii) qualifications of the key staff required for the assignment; and (iv) general and specific experiences in central Asia, including Kyrgyz Republic
