Description
Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Program Manager Combat Support Systems (PM-CSS), Product Manager Engineer Systems (PdM ES) intends to acquire, via full and open competition, the replacement to the currently fielded Backhoe Loader, Caterpillar 420D and 420E, which is reaching the end of its economical service life.

The BHL can be a commercially available item with military modifications. The BHL shall be a wheeled, engine driven vehicle with backhoe, bucket loader, front fork attachment, and be capable of operating hydraulic tools.

The Government anticipates a Request for Proposal to be released in the second quarter of Fiscal Year 25 with an ordering period of five years. The applicable NAICS code is 333120, Construction Machinery Manufacturing. The PSC Code is 3990, Miscellaneous Materials Handling Equipment. It is the intent of the Government to process this procurement under FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation, and to ultimately award a single, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract as a result of the forthcoming solicitation.
