  • Description : The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award to a single source contract to Price Modern LLC, a certified small business, for the procurement, delivery and installation of office furniture to support the Central Regional Office relocationof the ACE RO from 950 Locust St., Kansas City, MO 64106 to 1100 Main St., Kansas City, MO 64105. The FAA has committed to the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to vacating the current building by December 31, 2025, and has an urgent need that requires the immediate procurement of furniture. The current Occupancy Agreement (OA) with GSA expires on April 1, 2026. The move is part of a strategic plan to optimize operations and reduce the overall Department of Transportation (DOT) footprint for the ACE RO, in compliance with the FAA Space Order. Price Modern LLC is fimiliar with the layout of the building and can complete the furniture layout and the furniture installation plans in time to meet the accelerated installation schedule. Failure to procure and install this furniture to meet the FAA-established December 31, 2025, deadline to vacate the existing building will result in significant operational disruptions and financial implications.
    Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA-s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
