- UNICEF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is implementing the National Action Plan for the Promotion of Family and Child Health in Greece. A core component of this program focusses on adolescent girls' health, with a particular emphasis on menstrual health and hygiene (MHH). Menstruation is a natural biological process experienced by women and girls during their reproductive years. However, many still face barriers in accessing menstrual products, accurate information, and supportive environments. Recent data in Greece indicate that a significant percentage of young people struggle to afford period products and lack adequate knowledge about menstrual health. These challenges highlight the urgent need for education, awareness-raising, and access to essential products. As part of this initiative, UNICEF will provide hygiene products for 130,000 girls in Greece, packaged in cotton tote bags and pouches for community awareness-raising. Tote bags and pouches, 130,000 each, must be produced in line with the technical specifications and delivery requirements outlined on the attached ToRs.
