Description:
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (“Comptroller” or “CPA”), as Chair and Executive Director of the Texas Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board (the “Board”), issues this Request for Proposals No. 238i (“RFP”) to solicit proposals (“Proposals”) from qualified, independent certified public accountants or accounting firms to assist Comptroller and the Board in performing a financial audit of the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan, the direct-sold Texas College Savings Plan®,the advisor-sold LoneStar 529 Plan®, and the Texas Tuition Promise Fund®, all of which are qualified tuition and college savings programs organized under Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code, along with the Texas Match the Promise FoundationSM, and Texas Prepaid Tuition Scholarship Foundation, which are 501(c)(3) organizations, and the Texas ABLE®Program (“ABLE Program”), a savings plan authorized under Section 529A of the Internal Revenue Code for Texans with disabilities.
