Description:
The City of Roswell is seeking proposals from qualified law firms to provide professional legal services as Special PFAS Litigation Counsel on an as-needed basis. The selected offeror will support the City in pursuing legal remedies and recovering costs associated with contamination from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and aqueous film forming foams (AFFF) that have impacted the City-s public drinking water and wastewater systems.The scope of services includes legal analysis, claim development, litigation support, mediation or arbitration, and coordination with City officials. The contract will be awarded for an initial term of one year, with the option to renew annually for up to three additional one-year periods, not to exceed a total of four years. The resulting agreement may also be utilized by similarly situated local government entities in accordance with NMSA 1978, § 13-1-129.
