Description:
1. PurposeThe City of Leander, herein after “City”, seeks to enter into an agreement with a qualified Individual, Firm or Corporation, herein after “Respondent”, to provide professional services for the renovation of nineteen (19) greens complexes at Crystal Falls Golf Club located at 3400 Crystal Falls Pkwy, Leander, Texas. This 18-hole course is owned and operated by the City of Leander.2. BackgroundCrystal Falls Golf Club, herein after “CFGC”, showcases an impressive 18-hole golf course with a driving range and practice facilities that were originally constructed in the late 1980s and opened in the early 1990s.Over the years, routine agronomic practices have served to maintain excellent course conditions. However, the course-s age and utilization over the years has led to significant degradation in the quality, efficiency and playability of many of the playing surfaces and maintenance systems. Particular to this request are the greens irrigation systems, greens surrounds, putting surfaces, growing material, and some isolated draining issues.Over the last twelve to eighteen months, CFGC has conducted a variety of testing and evaluation processes to determine the quality of the associated soil, water and drainage systems and has determined that renovation of the greens complexes is the best course of action.
